The candidates who meet the conditions stated in the act \u201cUstawa o Polskiej Akademii Nauk\u201d dated 30 April 2010 (Dz.U. 2018 poz. 1475 z p\u00f3\u017a. zm.), art 89. Ust. 4 for the position of assistant are encouraged to apply for the position.<\/p>\n<p>The candidate will participate in research conducted in the Theoretical and Experimental Biocatalysis group on tungsten aldehyde oxidoreductase enzyme in the project HORIZON-EIC-2023-PATHFINDEROPEN-01-01 \u201cTUNGSTEN BIOCATALYSIS \u2013 HEAVY METAL ENZYMES FOR SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIAL BIOCATALYSIS. The aim of the project is the development of the expression platform for the production of recombinant tungsten enzymes and the development of industrial applications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In particular, the Assistant&#8217;s responsibilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>cultivation of E. coli and <em>Aromatoleum<\/em> evansii under anaerobic conditions in fermenters,<\/li>\n<li>expression of recombinant enzymes in bacterial hosts,<\/li>\n<li>protein purification using affinity chromatography,<\/li>\n<li>introduction of mutations into plasmids coding tungsten enzymes and transformations of bacteria,<\/li>\n<li>catalytic tests in batch and\/or flow reactor systems, activity assays using spectrophotometric or LC-MS techniques,<\/li>\n<li>optimization of reactor conditions aimed at a high yield of a biocatalytic process,<\/li>\n<li>supervision of PhD and undergraduate students,<\/li>\n<li>documentation of the research,<\/li>\n<li>preparing scientific publications and patent applications,<\/li>\n<li>transfer of the developed systems to industrial partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ikifp.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/W-biocat_post_doc_EN.pdf\">W-biocat_post_doc_EN<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry PAS invites applications for an assistant (post-doc) in the Theoretical and Experimental Biocatalysis group in the project HORIZON-EIC-2023-PATHFINDEROPEN-01-01 \u201cTUNGSTEN BIOCATALYSIS \u2013 HEAVY METAL ENZYMES FOR SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIAL BIOCATALYSIS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":27,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":""},"categories":[41,32],"tags":[],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v17.9 -
