Jerzy Haber Institute of Catalysis and Surface Chemistry PAS invites applications for an Associate Professor. The candidates who meet the conditions stated in the act “Ustawa o Polskiej Akademii Nauk” dated 30 April 2010 (Dz.U. 2018 poz. 1475 z póź. zm.), art 89. Ust. 2 for the position of Associate Professor are encouraged to apply for the position.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting scientific research as well as defining research objectives, organizing the work, and providing substantive supervision of a research group carrying out original experimental studies in the field of catalysis and photocatalysis, with particular emphasis on plasmonic photocatalysis.
In particular, the candidate will be responsible for:
- Synthesizing new materials for catalytic applications (with particular emphasis on plasmonic systems), environmental remediation, energy storage, etc.;
- Physicochemical characterization of the obtained materials;
- Performing catalytic tests under photocatalytic and thermally assisted (light-enhanced) catalytic conditions;
- Acting as a leader and mentor for research group members, PhD students, and undergraduate students;
- Actively applying for research funding from external sources;
- Actively disseminating results through scientific publications and conference presentations.
